Terry,

Can't tell you how much I enjoy your build threads and your building skills. Everytime I jump in and take a peak it's just totally enjoyable.

I think we should take up a pool to build you a bigger kitchen.

Pete

U/C required next.
Fit longer legs and lightweight 4.5" main wheels and substitute one supplied mainwheel for the nosewheel.

Looking great, with all these sea vixen pictures/builds/ i might just have to take another look at those stations i posted awhile back.

Awesome work Pontious

Just out of curiosity.
Do you always use always match the landing gear locations this way?

The reason im asking, as i recently finished a frogfoot and found i had to place mine a little further back from real locations so the nose wasnt popping up, so quick.

I know that 1/1/2-1/3/4 in behind cg is a great start but i had to move mine back even further.
i just stuck everything in her, and used a dowel across the plane where the wheels would be and check. before hacking into the foam

My philosophy right or wrong is that as I have always built these models to nearly true scale I have put the under cart in the scale position and adjusted the c of g to a position on the front of the main doors. It seems to have worked so far although I have always made a small scale chuckie to confirm. All my maidens for 8 models have required little or no trim or cg adjustment.
