3300watts for 5 1/2 lbs of thrust ?
Not very good. The CS 12 blade does much better than that.

My personal opinion

I should have bought an HET motor instead of this fan.

Exactly why I don't think the sound vs thrust is that great and why I will continue to use the CS12.

I got 5.5lbs of thrust at around 1300 watts...I'll be confirming these numbers next week.

5.5lbs of thrust at 3300 watts...there's something off somewhere

thought that said 5.5lbs for 2300w, ya something isnt right there. Although I didnt get those #'s @ 1300w, more like 2200-2300w (#s just off the top of my head).

1300W? Whats taking you so long to post your motor type, kv, and static #s? youve had this fan the longest?

My thrust stand is made with one ball bearing drawer slide and a cheapo HK scale, those #'s probably not very good. My watt meter is a Gt power. It is plugged in between motor and battery with 4mm bullets. The only other thing I can say is when I tested my CS10 with the eflite bl32 2150kv my #'s were right along what others had got. I am not trying to mislead anyone thats just what I observed

4mm bullets are not good enough for +100amps. They will burn up.

I think you guys need to put in a plane and fly it. Make your judgement on how it is going to be used, in the air. Since you guys have at least proved it won't blow up! The bench numbers are all over the place.

Just my opinion.

Well thanks for trying out the 1900KV on the 18blade set up, and if your test on other fans show numbers in line with other test, then all the low numbers are correct. The only thing that I think is missing is to test the fan unit with the rotor buried further into the shroud so the blade tips are not on the edge of the lip.

Yeah I know that, but you have to test first. I didnt know how many amps it would draw before the test. The bullets wont burn up during a 20 second test! They did not even get warm. I also run the same ones in my Dynam Me-262 and it pulls like 120 amps, had many successful flights. If I ever run this fan it will be around 85-90 amps any more just causes problems, now just to figure out what motor that will be. Anyone else want to test I am anxiously awaiting more results.

No problem, I was hoping the #'s would have been better but thats what I got. Someone else might get something different, since everyone uses different methods. The only thing I could improve is the balance, but that is probably at most 10% difference.

Well after reading your post I went ahead and disassembled the spinner and saw the nut your talking about. mine is a bit of center but completely crooked . also the spinner whole is all lop sided. I am really starting to regret Buying this fan.

I'm going to take some pics with my good camera and post them give me a few minutes.
