was told the direction of the course will be decided when the course is built up, not in advance.

Another question: what plugs should e supplied for limiter testing?
I'm running Plettenberg plugs, so I think I should bring an adapter. From what I heard it was 6mm LMT style plugs. What plug is on positive and negative?
Also the brown wire from the shunt, is this 2mm gold and if so which plug is on the tester?

Only 2 weeks to go...so much to do!

Gerben,
If the tester is the one used in Muncie (the Swiss one), the brown wire doesnt matter - the tester is connected with a croc-clip. If I remember correctly the tester uses 6mm SM plugs/sockets - ie. the shunt is as supplied from SM. In the FAI rules the orientation isnt specified, but I thought in Muncie the organisers published what they were (although I cant find anything!). The FAI rules say the competitor should provide adaptors to match the organisers equipment, so maybe the best solution is to make up some m-m and f-f adaptors to change your setup to match any combination.

In Muncie they could handle both Male 6mm on Positive or Negative. They had 2 set of connectors.

d) The limiter in each model should be provided with cables and 6 mm connectors, so that it can easily be checked in series with the checking system. In cases where the limiter device has other types of connectors, the competitor must provide adapters to match the 6 mm connectors used by the organiser.
e) JR/Futaba connectors should be provided on the limiter, or adapters, so that the receiver output and ESC input connections can be made to the test unit.

This is the section, 5.5.1. It only specifies 6mm connectors for power and JR/Futaba for signal. As Mark says they provided the adaptors.
