So, I have been searching the spadflyers site and found a good source of corroplast on corrugatedplastics.net, but i'm having trouble sourcing the PVC pipe. Just wondering if people are still getting it direct from genova (sp?)?

I have bought the canadian down spout from home depot as described in the following cut/paste text from the www.spadworld.net building materials thread. We still have a local Southerland's store that sells the american downspout, so I have not tried the Do It Best store purchase.

Home Depot's SKU number 264-917 orders of 6 sticks(sold in packs 1minimum) of the Amerimax's PVC TO583. It is the 2 and 3/8 square Canadian PVC and weights 2 pounds 10 ounces per 10 foot section. 6 sticks cost me 45 bucks and shipping was free. Ya gotta go into the store order and prepay for it though.

You might try the same number (Americmax TO583) at Do it Best stores. They list Amerimax products online but they don't list the downspout, instead their downspout listed is the Genova RW200 HEAVY American.

Isnt it possible to ake an equivalent from corflute ? I think a bit of reinforcing and it could work

Yep, it is done a lot. Easiest to make is a square tube with one side doubled where the glue holds it together. Basicaly 4 creased flutes for folds and 5 equal size faces.

And shove some bamboo skewers or dowels in the flutes where you want a screw to hold like around the firewall and such. We have a Marvin's that sells the Canadian, but they're only down South, I think just Georgia, Alabama & Mississippi, but maybe you have a similar regional supplier you might try as well. Even a "Mom & Pop" hardware store could probably order it for you.

Found the american made one at Aubuchon hardware. They readily stock it.

haha will do. Wish we had 4mm coroplast at the local sign store. Just stinks to have to pay 20$ shipping on one case of 10 sheets.

Home Depot has the 4mm around here. It is pretty easy to get at most hardware stores. The highly covetted and desireable 2mm is harder to get.

I thought everyone used the 4mm? The SNS calls for 4mm for the wings. Does the 2mm perform better?

It is lighter with the 2mm. It also bends into a smoother airfoil. I would think anything under a .40 should use it for the wing. If the plan calls for 4mm I would use it rather than trying to find 2mm, it is a hassle to get locally in most areas. Most smaller planes use the 2mm on SPAD to the Bone. You can roll up the 2mm, tape it and get it in the back seat of a car though, and maybe save the shipping if you can find it. You still will need 4mm for rudders and stabs.

Double up the 2mm for the elev and rudder and you can hinge in the middle of the surface

Blasphemy! You must have a good, cheap source for 2mm. With the shipping cost and aggravation, I would never double up 2mm for anything, I'd just use 4mm, but that's just me....
