New Addition to my hangar....

Well it was in it's box for long enough. I put it all together yesterday and applied the stickers this morning.

I only had a few issues.

1. The motor connector wire is so short I had to use 2 needle nose pliers to connect them...I felt like a surgeon, why is the motor wire lead soooo short????

2. Hinges are sorta difficult to come together...this was my first go with hinges so I'm sure it's a learning thing because toward the end it seemed to get much easier.

3. Tail seems very weak where the control horn attaches...I reinforced it with some gap filling CA and a strip of fiberglass fiber tape.

4. Tail gear seems very weak. I did a bit of tinkering and added some girth to the gear by CA'ing and heat shrinking a thicker control arm wire to the smaller gear wire. I also used a small strip of fiberglass tape to sturdy the wire to the end of the fuselage. On my first few tests it seems like it wants to move to the right even when the rudder is straight. I guess Iíll have to wait until I get to the field to straighten it.

Well thatís about it. I kept it pretty much as stock as possible, of course the winds kicked up this morning spoiling my chance to maiden but itís probably for the better, things always screw up for me when I rush them.

Total Build Time = ~7 hours straight through.

Öcrossing my fingers the wind will die soon and I have a successful maiden.

Remember, left aileron up = left turn....right aileron up = right turn

Keep the throws small the first couple of times out

Good luck with the maiden

GWS 300 motor and a 10x8 prop.

At lease that's what came with mine.

Yep, got the left aileron up = left turn from the manual but the throws seems a little low so I increased them to max on tx but only use the center holes on the servo and control horns.

...may move the +-125%'s on my flash5 down a bit?
