How to disable 2.4 on 8FG for use with EZUHF?

Does anyone know if 2.4ghz is disabled automatically when the trainer port connector is plugged in (appropriate pins shorted) or is there some other way to do it manually?

It is disabled by default if you short two pins in trainer port... it just output PPM stream.

Paul, can you confirm or negate Farmer_Joe's comment about it being disabled by default when trainer is plugged in with the pins shorted? If that comment is correct, then I wouldn't want to mess with making a swtich as you show, but if the 2.4 is still on, then I'll go grab my soldering iron Also, the photo doesn't seem to show an 8FG...

No surgery required... Just hold down the RTN button when turning on your 8FG. Then select "RF OFF."

I can't tell you if the 2.4 is disable when the trainer is plugged.

Try to do that

anixs... I knew that one, but when plugging in the trainer cord, holding RTN does not take you to the "RF ON/ OFF" screen as when you just power up normally. The on/off switch in my case is in OFF when I plug in the trainer cable.. and the shorted pins DO turn it on as it's supposed to.. but holding RTN in that case doesn't do anything. I've tried. :/

Ok, the workaround I am now using is to have the throttle above minimum when plugging in trainer cord. This makes the 8fg prompt me with the throttle warning and asks if it should transmit or not... so simply select no here
