Atlanta Area Hangar Talk and Flying

Rather than have a new thread each month that's dedicated to a single club. I thought it would be nice to have a single "chit chat" thread for everyone to enjoy without having to change it each month.

I had an awesome day at Friendly - got several flights on my 88" Edge and met some new friends. Good to see people flying all different types of planes and flying styles but still getting along and having fun.

Days are getting shorter and I'm looking forward to the nice fall weather so I can burn some batteries AND some GAS!!!!

MLT

Yesterday morning as I was driving Jaren to the scout merit badge day I was thinking how nice it would be at Friendly. The weather was pretty nice yesterday. I need to get the Funcub completed and show up and fly it - either at Friendly or the rougue field you guys keep talking about.

Also really been wanting to put together my DLG. Evenings at our neighborhood soccer field would be great with this mini DLG.

Nice idea

I hated that the thread would change every month as it became tiresome to search for old information and posts with all the different threads...

Yep the DA-60 is sweet. Got a little over 2.5 gallons through it and it's breaking in quite nicely.

That's awesome Shadow - always found DLG interesting but never tried it. I've got a bad shoulder now so I doubt I could even launch one.

Very cool Shadow!

I was curious fellas- could you all tell me the appropriate procedure for storing 4.8v NiMh receiver batteries? I know a ton about LiPo but do not typically use other chemistries.

Do NiMh batteries have a break-in period? Any details would be appreciated...
