looks killer!
but those props look like they will kill your motors.. get some slowfyer props with a max pitch of 5 and she will be flying soon!

Thanks dude! Yea you are right, i was amateur 6 mths ago with the spares. Got those aggressive pitch without knowledge..
Motors are 960Kv.

Here my latest build. It's 330 size with some led's at the front as anywhere past 50m currently is a 50/50 gamble on whether I'll stay airborne or not. The lander:

I got this idea after seeing those commercial quad with that curvy legs like spider design.. But i can't find a suitable spring to dampen the movement..

So after much pondering, these shocks came to mind:



The black foam board was ditched to make way for dual layers of Al plate for a very stiff structure. The third piece on top holds the electronics and it is dampen using special vibration dampening mount bought from farnell.


The custom built battery holder will go under the belly..



Bot some black foam tape to cushion the pack for whatever reason I do not have as to why i need to cushion them.. haha


Oh oh.. the the battery tray is too wide.. didnt measure this portion.. just eyeball guessing

This is the motor I used. Trying to get a cheap and good one.. this cost around $17. So is the board.. Still kind of ex overall..


After some static run and one outdoor run.. the shaft is screwed. Have to change 3 of them. Lousy. Or probably like what dutchcommando said, the prop probably harmed my motor..

Thanks. Six motors might be a little overkill but I wanted to have some headroom for FPV gear or a gimbal. That and I just wanted to build a hexa so this is what I came up with. Buying six motors and esc's was kind of painful though. My next build will probably be a quad.

It fly's quite well. Less stable than my Tri but easy enough to control.

Once I have more time on it I think I will install some aggressive firmware to see if it will flip.
