While you are replacing the shafts, epoxy the motor wires to the motor coils to keep them from vibrating and breaking.
Thanks for all of your help! I trimmed the shafts down tonight, and did more fine tuning. Hopefully I can get out this weekend and take some more video.

Scared me for a second there. Thanks for the video. I'm still waiting on Gopro to decide if they want to fix or replace my new camera. No audio. Just stopped working. Thanks again for the video.

Here are some better pictures of my folding H design. I moved the GoPro and suspended it by foam, this isn't 100% yet as I have an APM2.5 on the way and FPV gear. As of right now it running off of a KK board with kaptinkuk 4.7. The ESC's are also flashed with the quad firmware (forgot the name). It flys pretty nice just off of the KK board but because it's not FPV it's a little choppy on my part.

All up weight with a 5000 3s and GoPro is around 3.5lb or 1.6kg

Also, I did a 5min flight, charged the battery and calculated that it "should" be able to fly for 15.5min on 4500mah.

My first quad (after the little Syma X1), I was shooting for ~330mm frame, but since my real first quad, I figured bigger is more stable.

NTM 28-26 1200kv
HK BlueSeries 30A SimonK
KK2 v1.5 FW
2200mA 3S (and later 3000mA 4S)
All up weight 2.4lbs (1.1kg) with 3S 2200mA
1 inch square AL tubing (3 pieces), motor to motor ~400mm.

Questions.
1. Should I center the battery (like in the picture) or is the KK2 more inportant to center?

2. what props should I buy for the 3S and 4S battery?

Thanks in advance.

You could put some longer screws and spacers then put the battery on top.

Kk2 needs to be centered for accelerometer s to work properly. Having all weight centered is best. So yeah both answeres before mine deserve merit.

My new ones...

Initially I wanted to build the big Y6 (not finished yet), but then decided to to have an intermediate project with the nanowii quad to raise my flying skills before I crash the 1,5 kilos of the Y6...

Now I`m in love with the little bugger, this thing flies so awesome - nearly forgot to finish the big one!

carr52, whats that raisin thing in the plastic bag...?!?

What equipment do you have here? I think I see Turnigy Plush 6A's, and a 2S 460mah batt, but what motors are those?

And did you make that frame? Looks awesome.
