How long does your 450 w/ torque tube take to spool down?
This obviously depends on headspeed, blade weight, pitch and I'm sure other things but I think it mostly depends on how "smooth" everything is.
I've been working on "smooth" for two weeks and I'm curious what the rest of you can pull off. So... I don't care what your throttle position is etc. The only "rule" is be on the ground with your blades moving and then enable throttle hold. How long does it take for your blades to stop moving? 28 seconds for me and I know I can go higher as I'm only at 60% throttle but this is how I want my throttle at low stick. |

with a TT heli 450 size.. the blades are really free moving.. spool down maybe a couple of seconds.. but i really don't measure.... But I am pretty sure that the head is really free moving ad smooth as the blades can be blown by the wind if pointed against it
the TT is smoother by a few turns i guess against the belt of a BA

Thrust bearings on main shaft helps.. Also helps main bearings last longer. I have over 100 flights on very cheap mains on my pro and they are like new.

My Tarot 450 sport with TT is really free spinning. The idea is to land in stunt or idle up 2 with zero pitch and then hit throttle hold. also some 335mm or 345mm blades with more weight would make it spin longer.
