4s batteries

Has anyone flown their's with the removable wing with a 4s battery? I'm flying mine currently with a 3s 2200 and it doesn't seem to have the umph I would like to see. I also live at 5500 ft elevation.

What motor have you installed? I also fly at 5000 to 6000 feet and have used both the 78g and 100g motors from Twisted Hobbys. The 78g works great, but if you are looking for more, the 100g motor will get you there.

I asked too about a 4s set up. Everyone said that 3s is more than enough. But I think 4s is the ticket if you like power. There are several 4s packs on the market light enough for that set up. I'm going with the 3s set up for now, but I'm also getting 430 watts which is good. Not sure how long my motor is going to last.
I have the removeable wing version , but will soon be gluing the wings for a perminant fix.

Too much play in the wings. I haven't got a good day to trim it yet, but I'm sure the extra play won't help.

Well, that's me convinced! Can we get these stocked in new Zealand? I already account for the "out of stock" notification for two Telink models over here .

Well the flying isnt up to the standard set by the pros in Australia. I blame cold fingers and distractions on the ground...

Anyway heres one called 'Snow'

Some apt music (or perhaps not so apt) on this as well, I was thinking of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, but luckily for you guys i didnt have it.

Extra 330 in the snow (2 min 50 sec)

A friend of mine just ordered one of the removable wing versions for me to build and set up for him. Looking forward to seeing how it flies. I'll probably end up getting one for myself too.

The plane should be here by Friday or Saturday so hopefully i'll have time to build it this weekend. I'll try and get a flight video too.

Cheers bud. Just got out for an hour this am. Blimming cold, but enjoyed the packs, and enjoyed exercising the dogs, and all props intact.

LOL at the props gets a bit more expensive for props on the ExtraVaganza than it does on the Crack's eh. Are they your dogs? that's a lazy way of exercising them my dog just lays at my feet and occasionally glances up at them between snores

Not mine. 3 off them came from nowhere and chased the extra. No owners turned up. The landing was funny, the last dog wouldn't give up after 10 mins, I flew the extra over the other side of the park, zipped back, dropped it at my feet and grabbed it before he could eat it. I walked him back to the car park to reunite him with his owners, who were by the hedge, and thanked me for excersising the dogs...
Next time I will try an 8 pointer. Perhaps tommorrow
