I like the way it elevators and harrier's, no wing rock. That's the one thing I don't like about the ExtraSlick, at high aoa too much wing rock. If you keep the aoa lower it's fine but I can't get a decent elevator out of it at all.

Upright harriers are rock solid on this one, which is one of the things I really like about this plane. Another thing I'm impressed with is how precise it is, just point it and it goes.

Yes, one of the things that I like the most about the Telink Extra 330 is that it has NO wing rock.

Curious what people are doing on the hinge. It comes with 5, but uses 6 in the instructions. Are you only using 2 pieces instead of 4 on the rudder?

Not too sure on the 330 but on my other Telinks I cut mine in half so I actually had some material left over.

Yes, I believe the instructions (which are pictorial) show the hinges being cut in half. That's what I did. :-)

Yeah I know, but you use two for the wings 2 for the elevator, and 2 on the rudder, which gives you 4 hinges on each after being cut. 12 total, but only 5 hinges to cut, only giving 10.

Wish I didn't do step 2, as it may not have needed them. I'm a heli guy getting into planes, so I have tons of ball links, no hinge material. Guess I need to stock up.

Hinge Material...

Early kits have 5 fiber hinges in them, next batch will have 6 fiber hinges. In the mean time, if you have an extra one around the shop you can use that, or when doing the Rudder and Elevator, cut those into thirds instead of half. Sorry for the confusion, should have mentioned something about that in the build pics. It is mentioned in post #1 under "Build Comments".

Wish I could help. I used fiber hinges that I had in the drawer. Most local hobby shops carry them if you have one close. I personally used 3 on the rudder and 3 on each side of the elevator. Don't remember what I did with the wings.

I have added a note to the picture in the build sequence... If you all spot any other things like that let me know and I will update the post as necessary. Again, sorry about the confusion that it has already caused some, I should have put the note in a better spot.

I skipped the step for adding hinge material at the counter-balance end of the aileron hinge line. Working ok so far. :-)

Yeh I skipped that step on my Telink Yak well over a year ago and its still going strong. It doesn't have the ca hinges on any of the surfaces.
