Depends on what you do. There are plenty of people who are happy with their dx5es.

cool. You can do so much more with it. The functions may seem useless at first but they will come in handy sometime. You can be sure of that.

BTW what is your next plane gonna be?

Boy...I really like the corsair, even though it's unflown. This is the first plane I've had where the motor makes a powerful, deep growl, not some high-pitched squeak like the stryker

like 2 feet of powder here. No flying now

Ummm, with the 9X I'll have all the functions I need. And I already have done 3D with the DX5e... you do notice that "serious aerobatic flying" means no expo or dual rates. LOL

And I'm not going to continue using the DX5e anyways...

Dan
Maybe you didn't like your edge because you were using the dx5e and had no programable dual rates or expo. And you couldn't program anything.

I doubt that I'll get it but it's still an option... still want to try Futaba. I found a really good deal on the 8FGH Super too that I might just have to get...

I'm going to order one of those HK RadJets though. That should be pretty exciting And for $60 out of the $230 that I have, it sounds good to me.

I think I'm doing this backwards, actually. Let's reverse it. Figure out what I want to fly, then find a radio for it.

Just ordered the RadJet PNP. $75 to my door, not bad at all. Should be lots of fun!

See, now if I like that then I can invest in a good radio with expo and dual rates. If it's OK then I'll stick with my DX5e for my basic flying needs
