Has Castle finished solving the various issues people have been having with their higher-power stuff? I dunno if it was just the Phoenix Ice ESCs or if the Ice Lite line was involved as well, but I know there was a rash of really bad problems and a lot of waiting for repairs and recalls.

Assuming that's all nailed down now... I'd sill go with whatever's cheaper. I've got relatively little faith in Castle gear by now; I think they're too firmware-intensive for their own good and it's caused some real problems. I have two remaining Castle ESCs (both Phoenix-25s) and I've heavily considered selling them to buy a stack of HK SS25s

People never seem to realize that Eflite ESC's are around the price range as castle and quite reliable.

LOL...that was for a motor I had laying around just to get it in the air.
I borrowed some money from college funds to get a Motrofly.
Selling random video game crap on ebay now to pay it off (don't play vids anymore)
Couldn't afford HS85s...nor am I too fond of them.
14x7's were out of stock...this is just to get me in the air.
I plan on getting a wood or CF 14x7 later when I have money LOL...
Anyone here have any musical talent?
I've been playing....
Guitar/electric guitar
Piano/keyboard
Sax
Bass
All for 6 years

I think I might be officially on board for a 3D plane of some type... Why, you ask?

Well, I still had to finish discharging the pack from the plane I wrecked yesterday and it's real nice out today, so I took my Slow Stick out just to cruise around for awhile. Normally the SS is an incredibly boring plane to fly, but I clipped the wing droops off and it seems a little peppier.

But then I discovered that I could backflip the plane in almost its own length with a little bit of throttle and elevator work. I was sitting there grinning like an idiot with the motor going "bzzzzzzzzRRRROOOAAARRbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zROAR" as I flipped it around like a ragdoll.

And then I realized "Damn, this would be a lot more fun if the plane was SUPPOSED to fly like this".

And then I tried it too low and hit the grass and the motor shaft got loosened up

Oh boy.... Here we go
