Ugg I still don't know what I'm doing for the holidays. UHF is $190 so I'll have $110 left for a FPV airframe. Might need to sell some more stuff...

If you're on a budget, don't fly helicopters.

'Nuff said.

Yeah no doubt on that one!

I think I've figured it out, what I'm going to do, RangeLink and a Parkjet from HK. Would be a great setup for my 1.3 GHz 200mw (light weight) system. Plus it has room inside, the PopWing just has holes on the bottom. Speedy and maneuverable. Probably going to try a 1000 mAH 3S with a 4.5x4.5 prop. I'll hook up my OSD coming in the mail so that I can monitor the battery's voltage too!

Speedy FPV Parkjet? Might as well try to FPV a 2x4.

Dan, I HIGHLY reccomend something like the Bixler 2! It can carry a lot of weight, and its cheap (like 70.00 PNF). Get a UHF, some 2200 mAh 3s turnigys (10 bucks!) the wires that allow it to double mAh (I think its series) get some 45min-1hr flight times for some long range FPV! Thats not TOO expensive. anyway, the Popwing seems pretty jumpy from the onboard keychain cam videos, abd that little vet will just be jumpier! You might as well get the Bixler 2 for high altitude, heavy payload, soaring, long distance, smooth FPV! Than save up for the ORANGE RX 3axis stabilizer! You would have some Team Blacksheep-quality FPV vids!

Well see ya then Erik. Ben I think you mean parallel. It is hard to remember which one is which. I have noticed though that the Billerica is rough in wind with out the extra throw on the surfaces. Might just have been because it was gusty (or dirty as I prefer to call it) wind. Not smooth and constant.

Ya a Bixler would be fun but for one its not fast enough I'm used to flying FPV at about 70 MPH now LOL

Two, its constantly out if stock and near the holidays that'll get worse Three, I need to use something with small batteries. I'm using an old computer PSU for 12 ish volts for my charger, and it gets pretty warm at 1.3A. Don't want to push it.

But I'll keep it in mind. And more mAH = parallel, more voltage = series

Not to mention that you can't go very far without an OSD onboard that shows which way is home. Max I'll probably go is somewhere around 1/2 to 2 miles at the most.

Wait.....are you talking about your Popwing?
That doesn't go 70MPH.
I'd be surprised if my Slick is going 75!
