Isis 3: A Custom DLG Project
I have Changed my Design Slightly in order to allow me to build the wing out of balsa, Carbon and Fibreglass.

another update..
i have now Loaded up the Drawing in Solidworks and will begin to loft the wing.. Posted from the DramFactory Keenan |

Any twist? Wing looks nice, what happened to Isis 1 and Isis 2? If you get stuck on the solidworks modelling, feel free to shoot me a PM!

He is asking about the number of panels in the individual foils, looks like maybe 6? Typically its closer to 150 or more. Were the foils designed in xfoil? Or are they stock DLG foils?

they are AG-45- Zone V2 Hybrid...
that way i get the forgiving nature of the AG and the Speed of the Zone... Keenan |

Solid works model
ignore the Kink in the trailing Edge (it a small Airfoil Error )
Also i will finish up work on the Wing later .. So What Do think ? |

Cool. Is there a reason you aren't using a loft? It would create a smooth transition from one section to the next, making your LE and TE into a nice curve.

In my experience, SW does a better job if you do it all at once then piece mealing the curves together. Just a single loft using a guide curve to the tip foil. Then for the actual tip, Ive used I think its the sweep command to bring the wing to a curved tip. Its been a while though.

The wing does not look very smooth (ignoring the kink). I'm specifically looking at the LE. Again, how many points are in your airfoil curve?
I am also curious about your airfoil blend. Did you blend the Zone and the AG in xfoil or xflr5? Or are you using AG at the root and Zone v2 at the tip, for example? |

I do not know how to add the spline for the leading and trailing edge for the loft to follow and also I can't figure out how to get my toolbar back so I cannot access any of my folders. This is because my keyboard is broken (my friend is typing this). Minor delay
