Luis the creator of the FPVDM tricopter and myself have been working hand and hand trying to create the ultimate FPV tricopter kit. I started with his v1.3 frame and from there i beta tested it and from there id tel luis what needed to be fixed and upgraded id get the next frame that had changes to it then test and test and test. untill i found what needed to be upgraded or changed until finally i wasnt able to make anything better. THE 1.5 FPV Dream Machine

Frame comes with all hardware needed.
And screws also for motors, ( 3mm or  2.5mm Just ask for what you need)

The FPVDM is simply a FPV Pilots Dream.. why ?  here is what is included.

1. All hardware needed is included

2.  Booms are include wood ( 3/8 or 1/2 Wood booms)
     3/8 are clamped via screws - Only one hole to drill
     1/2 are secured via center hole ( tail screws are flush mounted - ie flat head screws)

3. Booms can be secured via screws or zip ties.
    Good to fold back quickly for travel
    Good for breakaway action in even of crash

4.  Front boom can be configured in a Yshape or  T shape

5.  Tail boom
      Can use clamp style mount ( 3/8 boom)
      Can use through bolt (1/2 boom) for flush mount so no screws stick into your battery

6. Tail control has been described as BULLET PROOF
      Construction is G10 and 1/4 in - Acetal

7.  Motor Mounts
      Bolt pattern for  ( 16x19mm motors - NX400 - DT750 - and more .. )
     Motor Cage - Life Saver - Protects your motor case in event of a crash

*****  will have two version  for  30mm size motors and 45mm size ***

8. Landing Gear
     Allows for quick installation via zip ties.
     Allows for 1/2 boom install
     Allows for 3/8 boom install

9.   Frame  Body
       Top frame is made of 2.3mm thick G10
       Lower Frame is made of 1.5mm G10
       Connection of top and bottom is done via 1.5 in standoffs
       giving plenty of space for components to be mounted.
       ** Lower plate is soft mounted to top plate via foam shop  absorbers.

10.  Battery Slots
       Frame has battery straps in key locations, main sets are in the rear for two different
       size batteries both on lower and top plate

11.  Flight board Mounting
          Frame has bolt pattern for two different size board
          Board can be mounted on TOP or bottom.

12. Construction
         Booms are  Wood ( intended to break away while you learn to fly)
         Frame body  2.3mm and 1.5mm G10
         Frame body has vertical spars to make it super strong
         Motor Mounts and Cages -  G10  2.3mm
         Tail Control  2.3mm G10 and 1/4 in Acetal

13.  Screws
        90% of the frame uses  metric screws  ( Top Quality Socket head Screws)
         Standoffs are Aluminum and ( 4-40) socket head screws ( top Quality also)

14  Recommended Setup

While the frame allows for you to test with many diff rent components.
it has been tested with by many pilots, from them 80% of testing was done with  NX400 Motors on 10in props 4S battery, 

Looks good. I've mentioned some other ideas to Luis...perhaps some other versions further down the road. Now how about some flight videos...

Where do you get the NX400? How do they compare to the DT750?

You can get nx4008s from hobbyking or getfpv.com
I'm not sure how well dt750s work bc I've never used them but I'm sure someone else will be able to comment on those motors.

I'm in the process of editing the fpv flight video. It should be up by Sunday.

I have the DT750 .. running on 4S .. 3.3mAh pack.. 10in props.. I only get.. 6min of flying.. But I'm 3400 feet above see level..

From what Flohio.. has told me.. nx4008 have tons of power.. get longer flights..
and are made for.. 4S ..

I have some in the mail now what frame to put them on..

yes i do because it flies on 4s so i have a 3s battery for video gear.

Yah, you're right that was some crazy flying, especially when the first brown out occurred on top of the trees. I was scared for you. I'm flabbergasted how you were able to recover from it remarkably or else it would have been an arduous search and rescue.

You're tempting me with this FPV Dream Machine airframe... Must resist the force.
