I've flown the Edge and really loved it. I hope to get one of my own soon, but right now I am eyeballing that new 60" MXS..
The Edge is better for full tilt 3D, whereas the Extra still 3Ds well and does much better precision. The differences between the 48" versions of the planes is much more marked, but in the 60" size they are much closer to each other in abilities. I'de say if you want to go ful tilt 3D, the Edge is the monster, whereas the Extra is a better balanced airplane for all around performance.
PS: this is our last video in standard dffinition. We are going all HD now. |

I've had both and the extra was an awesome plane. It flew very straight, very fast, and could 3d very well.. It took a bit of skill, but it was a very capable airframe.
The edge is just incredible for 3d! It floats so smooth and so easy it's seriously like a 3d trainer. I am in love with the edge and don't regret selling the extra. But don't get me wrong, either frame is going to be incredible in its own way! |

This was posted in the 60'' mxs thread by a EF team pilot as a comparison of the Extra and MXS.
