Help!
Extreme Flight 60" Edge 540T EXP or 60" Extra 300 EXP

Need help deciding which one of these to get. I'm not familiar with the flight character of either plane. I have no HP airframes in this size. The have a 42" Slick which is really sweet but looking for a 60" and these are the two choices I have narrowed down to.

Thanks in advance.

I can speak for the edge, and love it by far my favorite. Can't help you with getting the extra. I can only have one

I've flown the Edge and really loved it. I hope to get one of my own soon, but right now I am eyeballing that new 60" MXS..

The Edge is better for full tilt 3D, whereas the Extra still 3Ds well and does much better precision.

The differences between the 48" versions of the planes is much more marked, but in the 60" size they are much closer to each other in abilities. I'de say if you want to go ful tilt 3D, the Edge is the monster, whereas the Extra is a better balanced airplane for all around performance.

Extra EXP 60__Ballistic (4 min 24 sec)

PS: this is our last video in standard dffinition. We are going all HD now.

I'll put my vote in for the Extra. Very well rounded airframe.

Now that did/didn't help me at all/allot. I was on the email list waiting for the extra and the Edge and they both came in today and now hee you go pointing me at this 60" MXS and it's in the coolest color scheme... and the cowl is totally awesome looking. To make it even more easy/difficult my wife took one look at the MXS and said nothing else will do. What a great wife, right? Except I was trying to decide between 2 planes not 3... decisions decisions. Now what am I going to do?

Anybody fly the 60" MXS yet?

I've had both and the extra was an awesome plane. It flew very straight, very fast, and could 3d very well.. It took a bit of skill, but it was a very capable airframe.

The edge is just incredible for 3d! It floats so smooth and so easy it's seriously like a 3d trainer.

I am in love with the edge and don't regret selling the extra. But don't get me wrong, either frame is going to be incredible in its own way!

This was posted in the 60'' mxs thread by a EF team pilot as a comparison of the Extra and MXS.

No coupling at all, very fast, great roll rate but still stable and well-damped, and it had insane pitch authority. I think I did a 4 turn pop-top with it. Lots of power as well of course, even with a 6S 3850 battery and seperate receiver pack. Compared to the Extra, it's crazier, pitches harder, and might be a little faster. I would need more flights on it to really get a full comparison but it's extremely capable and absolutely unique.
All i know is, i'll be getting a green MXS when it comes out.

I vote for the Edge... it is just so easy to have fun with. Yes I have buddy boxed it on super low rates as a trainer...
Disclaimer: My new Yellow MXS is on its way!!
And if any one has any 48" Edges collecting dust I'm buying!!!
