I know there are a few so far.

The optical image stabilization on it looks very promising for smoothing out the little glitches in the air.

The price tag is a little high for me given that the Nex-5 is similar price and has larger image sensor and lenses

I have one. Adidas not sure why where you are the NEX 5 is a similar price, where I am its about US$300 cheaper than the NEX 5.

Its a great camera for its price, full of all sorts of very nice features. Its very nicely built and the review on dpreview is very positive. The quality of its stills image is basically as good as my Canon 600d image.

Its lacking the ability for remote control via infrared so for stills you will need to use a servo to fire the shutter.

Its fast enough with the AF to adjust well during video shooting.

I would prefer that its widest angle was better than its 28mm but I can live with that.

I played with Stacky's RX100 on Sunday... It has live HMDI but it is underneath the cam, just behind the 1/4" tripod mount. Not impressed at that! I will use a separate "spycam" on mine at this stage. I already have it setup as the AV-Out on my LX3 has failed after only 10,000 AP shots

We flew Stacky's camera under my octo with great video results. I am used to my 24mm LX3 but I appreciate that with the 28mm, while we don't get as much in frame, it looked more "natural" to me.
I setup a servo-trigger in about 15-30 minutes and (as the sun was dissappearing in the early evening) shot some 1600ISO 1/500 Shutter-Priority repeat-mode photos. The were captured at F4 - it wasn't very light at all.
I climbed up and piro'd while the camera was going click-click 49 in-focus photos

I wouldn't shoot 1600ISO usually of course - but at A4 size, it was usable at those settings. Awesome for indoor aerials!

Mine just arrived by courier while I'm at work... delivered to home

It appears I addressed it to home, not work... and it appears I didn't quite tell my darling wife that I had ordered it She wasn't completely surprized after seeing my stupid grin Sunday night after flying Stacky's one.

Crappy weather for the next couple of days but I can see a night-shot test coming up

The sensor on this camera is huge, as is the mega pixels and the video specs. It is almost the ultimate ap camera image wise. It is a shame about the trigger and the hdmi out location. Is there any optical trigger solution?

No optical trigger or time-lapse, gps... Unbelievable actually. It didn't even come with a manual or disc - it's all online. Pretty slack of Sony imho.

...but it rocks!

Just noticed a 1.8 max aperture alsol. Very nice touch. It is an image making machine for sure!

There are a few things that would have made this camera magnificent. IR (or contact bulb), 24mm, time-lapse, HDMI that isn't hiding under the camera behind the tripod thread...

I needed another camera as my LX3 has developed a focusing fault. It is light and takes stunning photos. The video is also rather good...

MY RX100's first commercial job

I don't have a HDMI-Comp converter so I used the "spycam" system. I will need to change spycam lenses to give a less wide representation (or get a converter) as I was off-centre on a few photos.

I shot solo (without my camera operator) and wore "Eyetop" video glasses giving me a monitor for the sideways-look on the right eye.

All 190 photos were in perfectly in focus - stunningly good . 1/640 Shut-Priority, 200iso and "Continuous-shutter".
I had the focus set to Single-shot AF (AF-S) as I found the Cont-AF (AF-C) was "hunting" the whole time and not always in focus a good as AF-S. AF-Cont shoots once a second, AF-Single shoots 3 times a second in continuous-shooting mode.

Verdict from the first proper shoot. I love it
