LRK Brushless kit, anybody interested
I am sure some of you have seen reports on the homebuilt LRK brushless motor on the ezone. I like to build things so I have decided to push myself. I have been in contact with Peter Rother from Germany concerning a partial kit for the LRK brushless motor.
The motor is an outside runner with high torque (fixed stator with rotating outside magnets), Actro like. The kit they are offering will produce up to 600W (maybe more) according to its windings and stator length. I am looking at the 500 to 600W version. You also need a sensorless brushless controller.
They are offering a kit for CNC parts at 150 to 170 DM, this translates to about 70 to 80 US dollars. The magnets, stator, wire, adhesive, etc must be purchased (about $50). There are German suppliers listed on Peter's web site. It would be nice to find some US suppliers, anybody know of any?
If any are interested we could place one order for the kit and supplies. See the web site for more information:
