The first time I did this to my EZ Star I almost cried, felt like I lost a kid or a dog. But I guess you get over it. The next time it wasn't quite so bad.

Nice repair job.

The motor will have no problem, it's the ESC I would be concerned about. I run mine on 4s exclusively.

The flying wasn't by me this time, it was by ssgtakeo and a couple of other flyers. Just to give credit where it's due.

Got my carbon tube today to replace that heavy fiberglass rod. This tube is nearly the same diameter (tiny bit thinner) and only 1.25" shorter. It also weighs only 72 grams vs the fiberglass rod which weighed 309 grams. Fits inside the wings even better than the fiberglass rod - less force required to push them together but still snug.

This is part # 020039 from Goodwinds, you can find it here:

are you careful with throttle or do you go WOT? I'm thinking of going with a 60 amp speed control.

That looks great, you might have mentioned where you got it, could you repeat if possible? That's a huge weight savings.

Happy for yah ffwd! I'm still waiting on my ARF calypso. Meanwhile I'm being tempted.. My credit card payment is kinda raising and I'm having that greedy "I want it now" moments. Besides, if I get it, I won't be able to fit it out the door
