Flew the F-86 over the weekend with the new Hacker motor, B50-13XL. The fan unit is a HW-730, the ESC Kontronic 3SL-70-6-18 and 18 CP-2400. Flying weight is 6 lb 9 oz. Motor is pulling 41 AMP's on the ground giving me 20,400 RPM. The jet took off in about 150 -200 ft. Flight time is 4 mins. It flew great. The plane really grooved and the turbine whine the fan unit makes is awesome. I think this is the perfect motor for this fan/plane package. I will have it at the Arizone Jet Rally next weekend. Getting ready to start another EJF F-86 but with retracts. First I need to finish the Midi powered one version first.

Cool Bob, can't wait to see it. By the way, what is the time difference between Vegas and Arizona? I know you guys don't change the time during part of the year and that makes you on the same time as Las Vegas, but is that during the summer or the winter? I don't wanna miss any of the electric flying in the morning. 7am is probably gonna be 6 am for me....ouch! I'm really gonna need my morning coffee then.

Greg, can't wait to see your Mig. I gave up on getting mine ready in time, I just started too late. I'll have my Wattage F-22 modied for EDF there, I'm still putting on panel lines and experimenting with weathering. I really wanted to go to the Black Sheep fly in but stayed home since I'm going to Arizona this weekend. Too bad it got mostly rained out.
