I'm ordering Lipos (340s) . Yes I read all the warnings by Kokam.
However there is an implication by the distributor that if you don't use a specialised speed conrtoller ($37.50) you will over discharge (2.5 V) the Lipos. True?????

Or will my Various other contollers (GWS, Hitec) with BEC do ???

Don't want to spend more than I have to.

I am pretty new at this, but in the research i have done to get myself set up with electrics, it seems that most of the mid to upper end esc have programable cut-off. Maybe the Manuf. is concerned with runnig an esc with no control over cut-off voltage.
Or am I misunderstanding.

CasteCreations have adjustable LVC.
Kontronik has a new line of ESC's out called the Jazz which have LiPo mode with appropriate LVC, It also got BEC for up to 18cells (1,5A BEC)
