Just ran down to kinko's and $10.87 later Ive got full sized print outs of all 3 aircraft plans. Now to glue them down to some nice cardboard and cut them out to make sure I did this all correctly. Going to start with the upgraded "X" version. I have the plans made for this, but I just want to make sure it all works before I release plans for what has been a troublesome version.

reupdated plans. A few minor fixes I found on the plans, mainly spelling mistakes

Update on the new YF-X-241 build:
Main wing and fuse are done. Finishing up tails and coloring.

over all its about an inch wider and 2" longer. Wing is slightly wider too. Throwing on a more powerfull motor for the bigger air frame.

getting close to finishing the bulk of work on this thing. Though I did realize something. I skipped #24 on numbering my planes! the A I just built and numbered #25 was sopposed to be #24! So this X will not be offcially numbered

Was up till about 1:30 working on it last night. Im at work now making the motor mount. Got the canards all done with an extra canopy reinforcement to keep things from flexing. I have pictures at home, but wont be up for atleast 4 hours.

YF-X241 MkII is almost done mainly just wating to make the conection rods from the servos to the rear flaps. Not sure when it will fly since the weather is starting to move in. Was raining today.

so with luck I will be able to maiden this thing tomorow. One thing that worries me. I did make the wing largeer, I added an inch in length to the winglets and width of the main wing. But it is also 238 grams, the otheres came in at around 190-200 grams. The other versions have 189^2" of wing area, YF-X241 MkII has 210^2".

So its got an 8% larger wing but is also 25% heavier.... This may not end well, but I think it will be over quickly. According to the calculator Ive got about 5.76oz/sq. ft lift ratio, and an estimated 11.9mph stall speed. the "A" and "B" models come in very close to that at 5.26oz/sq. ft loading and 11.4mph stall speed. This makes me feel a little better about the aircraft since I know "A" and "B" flew well. The main problem with "X" was how close the canards where to the CoG and how small they where. I've got them 2" further ahead then before.

I think most of the weight is the much larger motor. Im also running a 7x3 prop.

Im not crazy about the tails. I may change them back to the older design should this thing fly. Right now Im just trying to go over what I can do to make sure the first flight goes well.
