What is your setup? It could be a few things? Are you sure you are not inputting a little rudder during the flip?

spartan gyro on both birds
seems when i use low head speeds is when it kicks the most and im kind of sure its not me giving that much input

Low headspeed makes it hard for the gyro to have enough tail authority (=thrust). Now depending on your throttle curve, and whether your pitch curve is really symmetric about midstick, , it is also possible that inverted is flying with even less headspeed.

That could cause the blowout to be worse on the flip.

I say first thing to try is higher headspeed.

i think i figured it out

i use a separate gyro gain per idle up condition unfortunately i use 35 percent for all three conditions i noticed in idle 2 the tail does not blow out when doing flips

my crashes have been in idle 1 so i guess i may need to increase the gain to 40 percent in idle 1

lesson learned and only cost me 300 bucks to learn lol
