i may be a bigger noob with fp3 airplanes than i thought.i was looking at the price when i suggested those motors.
they do have alot of power, but of course way heavy.ive built the silence from the free plans, and with some mods i have got some good results.the silence is a bipe and it seemed that it could use a little more power.i do agree the cheap bell outrunners are very heavy for what would be considered FP3.
thanx everyone for the suggestions and tips.and may the force be with you

It's F3P, by the way. Not FP3.

fly,

If you are a builder, you want to use the following sites for motor and setup information.

http://flbeagle.rchomepage.com/softw..._imperial.html .. for sizing a power system to an airframe.
http://www.flybrushless.com/search... Dr Kiwi has done a lot of work on motor and prop specs here.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1681070 This thread has some PDFs containing NoFlyZone's fine
tutorial on how to use WebOCalc...see Report # 6 by Rick Benjamin. If you work your way through the first 16 threads, you will be well on your way to being able to set up an airframe of any kind properly.

Regards,

Hankg
