unlikely those are brushless motors. they look like cheapo pagers. nor a brushless controller. i predict another case of "china scammer lies like a rug" while yankee rubes fall for flat pitch.

Brushless motors! and 6 axis

Who knows how well it flies, but this is exactly what I was talking about when I was talking about not looking like a cheap toy. Now this looks like a nice piece of technology.
Can't find any video of this quad, anywhere on the net. Also, it's pre-order only at all the sellers I looked at.

It does look too good almost to be true.

Couldn't have looked that hard, pulled right up!
The Hubsan X4 (6 min 4 sec)

Looks like manual flips......better be with brushless motors. Looks like the syma x1 is moved to the bottom of the list as well as others to get.

It's the same. The advertisement is illustratively enhanced with extra glare and lighting. But the price sure as hell isn't the same!

The motors don't seem to be brushless. Looks like 7mm brushed motors like LB has

No out is you ignoring my comment

It is crystal clear no room for argument the u816 knows its upside down and is trying to correct the inversion

The moment I apply power two motors goto full power and it flips

If I hold it right side up the motors spin properly thrusting evenly down

It knows its up side down

If it looks like my paltry skills can handle it will flip the mainboard over on one of them and try to fly inverted

the only cool thing about this one is the styling ... anything else is obviously basically identical to all the other micros that are already talked about and reviewed in the respective threads ..

but it LOOKS ...

Not only...If the description is right, brushless motors would be a huge benefit according to reliability

I don't know.....this one looks like manual flips without having to get a 9x hobby radio. Notice how the quad drops then quickly throttle into flips? Each return was inconsistent for correction, giving hint that the user was doing it. At least, this is what it looks like to me.

that is not the issue. when jim mentioned mpu6050 it became clear the fc will not fly upside down.

our discussion is about the props. you said udi has no airfoil. if you turn the props, not the quad, around it should still fly. but it dont. ergo udi props have airfoil and will not work backwards.

anyway there is certainly no need for additional experiments on my part.

true. at least 1000x times the life. what clued me in to the false advertising was the price. it would have been a bargain for just the motors even if the quad itself was thrown away.

I don't think they are brushless.

That's what I was thinking to. The motors would be worth that! It is pre-order right now but is supposed to be available in a few weeks. Seeing the other sight I'm not quite as impressed with the look of it. It looked so much more refined in the other pic. But it still breaks away from the traditional stick and boom design. Coolness.
