As the H36 board doesn't have sockets, you can solder the motors dirctly to the pads.
I soldered some 1.25mm Micro JST sockets on the board to be able to change it without resoldering.

Some Data:

Size: 78mm x 78mm
(The motorholder makes it bigger. With U816 motorarms, 60mm x 60 mm can be achieved)
Weight : 24g (without battery)

Ingredients :

Vitality H36 H36-1 RC Quadcopter Spare Parts PCB Receive Board H36-04

Vitality H36 H36-1 RC Remote Control Quadcopter Spare Parts Main Frame H36-07
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Vi...7-p-52472.html

Even if I used some other motors (v939 spares), arms (custom cut square tubes ) and motorholders (v939),
you should get following Motorarms and cut them down (52mm) :

UDI U816 U816A RC Helicopter Spare Parts clockwise & Anti-clockwise Motors

http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Ud...3-p-48839.html

OR

Vitality H36 H36-1 RC Quadcopter Spare Parts Motor Set H36-05
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Vi...5-p-54829.html

And finally the props.

UDI U816 U816A 4CH Helicopter Quadcopter Spare Parts Blade Set

It seems to be a really nice FlySky (9x) compatible X4 alternative. (I don't know, how a X4 feels to fly. I don't and won't have one)
I have been fascinated by your post and mixes.
Do you have a Hybrid recipe for the V929 / V949 size quadcopter
Or a link if you have posted this
Donít have a Qaud yet, and I am look for another, my V939 will be here Monday.
Selling stuff on fleebay so I can try these new toys.
The direction I go from here may depend on how I like the V939, will see how unbearable stock Radio is. May sell Dx6i and get a FlySky (9x) or compatible so itís more compatible.

Btw. I have 7 Hybrid-micros and 3-4 in spares. It's enough for me.
I'm just starting my first brushless quad. (220mm)
Mystman your H36 hybrid is interesting, but probably not behave like a x4; the thing that sets the x4 apart is more than size, it's the way it responds to your command instantly and precisely. I think w/o having a x4 board, you really can't get a feel for how it flies.

Exactly the same here! I'm flying only 9X compatible birds, and thats why I have ordered the H36 (glad that you have offered it!!) because its 9X compatible...and because my future plan is building a custom quad which will be based on 9X compatible TX/RX combo (I have the FrSky TX/RX set with telemetry but at now its only a memento of my "holly goal" ), I dont want to use another radio than my 9X...

Because of this I gave my brand new X4 to my brother as Xmas gift (He loves it by the way... but I have infected him with the 9X radio...so I have a feeling he will have a H36 soon... ), because I really didnt want to use that toy TX....and didnt want to get use to it...and didnt like it at all...

Bro plz infom us about the stages of your custom building!

anyway congrat to the hybrid! Dude, I have asked in the other thread, why have you cut the arm to 58mm? (as I remember there is another version of the H36 with a different canopy+longer arms...so why that length important? Only cosmetics (X4 size) or something else? Got the answer there!

Many thanks,
Dr. Bamba

Yes but the smaller size (shorter arms) could help with that due I guess that improve the agility and more precise control at a cost of limited flying distance and orientation due the size...so that would be perfect if someone could compare the SAME size hybrid with the X4...

Think about it chris: 1 GBP equals about 1.6$ - so you got 16$ there. and then they charge 16.59GBP for shipping!!! (this is about another 27$!!!!!!)

So your 10 "quid" become about 43$!! And now compare this to the price at BG ... is it still such a sensational deal?

(or take the deluxe Version:
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Wl...t-p-50090.html

just saying - ebay is something to ALWAYS look on the TOTAL price ...

Hey, x4 shell with a FlySky compatible board is what I have been thinking too but haven't purchased the parts. So I am highly interested in the result.

I am worry that the board won't fit. Possibly need to cut two corners on the FlySky compatible board to make it fit into the x4 shell.

I also noticed hubsan has a couple of more colors coming out.

My question is, should i go for a h36 or v939 board?

If you have the budget get and use them both.

The H36 is more stable but the v939 has faster Yaw...I like both boards.

That's what I use on mine, I find that they actually improve overall performance and they make the bird less noisy. I won't use the crappy original
ones anymore.
