Unless they pop out of your computer as Polaroids it is safe to assume every image you see on this or any other site is a computer image

There's another that seems to be 3mm solid carbon, located in CA so maybe a better choice for us US people

Goodwinds is also a good US source for CF tubes and rods. Here are some square listings:

For those in the US, HobbytownUSA carries 40" length of CF square tube for about $12.00 - I think - either way it was not that much. It is listed as .118" which is 3mm and it fits very nice and snug in the motor holders: Carbon Fiber Square Tube, 40", .118 OD x .060 ID By Midwest Products | Product Number MID5851

The nice thing about the options listed above is that it is solid stock, rather than tubing. Much cheaper than those prices as well for a "better" option.

Only the acpsales site lists the weight of their product to make a comparison, but in the short lengths used for these micros it's probably not worth worrying about. For US customers, if you go straight to Midwest Products site, they have free shipping on orders and they keep a good selection of sizes.
For those of us in other regions, get things wherever you can, usually for a premium.

Weight doubles up in comparision. From 1.5 to 3.1g for 4 booms

That 1.6 grams is probably worth it for the rigidity IMO

I would have expected around twice the weight difference between hollow and solid, but really, you get more variation than that between brands of batteries, which is why from that aspect I don't think it's a showstopper.
However, the big downside to solid is that you can't run wires through it.

Slide a plastic drinking straw over the booms. In this size the piece of tubing you need is like .05g - so forget it. Another advantage is: You can use the color as you like - front red, back black or whatever.

As an alternative, use bamboosticks from fingerfood department. In this example Fackelmann Asia Line .

Cheap, accesible and incredibly stable.
Don't forget to buy the drinking straws while shopping
