Ordered a Flyzone Calypso Glider.

Had a couple Tower deals and today was the last day. Only thing
we could find we don't have. They have been out of stock for months
and we wanted one.

Now tell us how bad they are?? We got the TRX ready version.
We have half a dozen batteries for it. We ordered the flap kit
as well.

It's nice looking and performing, and it's the latest entry of the 2M class foam EP sailplane field, it's still too new for much feedback, here is a review:

Saw this powered glider in the back of the AMA rag this month.

I was instantly curious, could this be an answer to radian pro? I was not overly impressed with the pro. The base Radian however is a thermal delight.

I am looking forward to some feedback for this model on things like, how are the servos?, the wing, stab, and rudder mounting? Is it fast? will it slow down? How does it thermal? What is the prop, folding prop mechanism like? The motor?

Some of these foamy gliders skimp on items like that with cheap plastic props, servos that fail quickly, and wing tubes that wear out quickly.

Last but not least. What is the price point?

This is not a true 2M. It is 1855. It is much lighter than the Pro, 29oz to 35oz. Slightly smaller, a bit more
expensive and does not come with the flaps working, optional. It is Trx ready withTactic
radios, what we use.

It should be here tomorrow. We got ours for just over $140 after the deals and free shipping.
The flap kit is less than $3 with out servos.

It is here, in line to be built, there are 18 kits in front of it! And a Electrostick came today.
That makes twenty un-built aircraft in the closet..

My unbuilt kits queue won't fit in any of my closets, that's why they fill up my basement. BTW, the order they are eventually built is constantly in flux. that's alot of "musical kit building" for about a hundred kits or so.

Wow, um I have 3 airplanes and no backups in the closet. Not that I can't afford more, but if I had that many airplanes, I would spend hours deciding on which airplane to take to the field. It would be hard to find time to fly with that amount of indecision.
