she accidentally stopped the video 1 minute in yet didnt realize it, was a 6 minute flight, I was so pissed but didnt wanna be a buzzkill.
I gave trying to use those GWS props on high kv motors, they can't handle the rpm's.

Anyone know have the weight of the airframe, or build one un-powered for the slope? Those curved wingtips seem like they'd get in the way of a DLG peg, but still, this may fill some of the void left from dream flight untill the Alula's are available again.

I'd like to build one unpowered for use on the slope in light wind....yet having that battery compartment empty on a slope flyer leaves tons of room for ballast when the wind does pick up.

i started off using the 4.1x4.1 great sound i ended up using the 4.75x4.75 less of a buzz noise but more thrust im not sure why i got 108mph other guys reported 80mph it could have been because of two things my custom airfoil was very thin or because i had the motor spin on the mount and wrapped the motor wires around the shaft 2 times i think this could have effected the kv? i donno could be wrong but man it hauled ass! my wing weighed something like 250-300 grams RTF the motor put out 600 grams thrust and 140mph pitch speed i think it was recorded by DrKiwi
2nd flight 25" flying wing 174 kph (4 min 58 sec)

Thanks to all that recommended this motor, http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5453 , I put it in the Z84 and it exceeded all my expectations, I used the 4.1x4.1 as a starting point, will try 4.5x4.5 and 4.75x4.75.

I flew the Z84 mostly at wot and the motor came down with no hint of warmth, the esc was warm and the battery was warmer again.

This motor will always have a place in my hanger lol.

Thanks Gazza, I will order more while they are in stock, I did buy 4 when I ordered it, but since seeing how well this baby goes, both my parkjet and flycat will get fitted out with these motors, only leaving 1 spare lol.

Now mmm I have a plane for a Focke wulf TA 154, could be a fast twin with these motors.

Motor thrust angle

Got a question on the motor thrust angle of the Z-84... the manual clearly shows that the motor mount is tilted to provide up-thrust?? Is this correct?

I've flown a pusher model, the Cloudsfly, and the motor is tilted to give down-thrust

flying wings have no thrust angle the motor should be strait inline with the nose but i dont know how this Z-84 is as i dont own one
