I just saw one of these and thought the prop looked too small relative to the airframe as it appears to be the same size as on the UM Stryker. I'd be looking to put a bigger prop and higher amp ESC in it and the bottom needs to be covered with packing tape/reinforcement.

The wing spar could be bigger; possibly a tube instead of a solid rod as well if upgrading the powerplant.
All in all, the build quality of the kit was nice and I'd consider it as a bigger version of the UM Stryker minus the moving rudders.
Looks like it would be a good slope plane too :-)

Lol the multiplex funjet s about the same size(infact it's about 800mm) and most people run it with around a 5-6" prop, some even go down to 4" on 6s.

Strengthing the airframe is upto the owner, no doubt it will be very nice in the stock format, but then again I feel the need for speed so I will upgrade as required.

Just been to the post office and picked up Z-28, unpacked and wow, quality looks great, finish is better than my multiplex funjet. Now the question is do I fly stock or got straight to upgrade power plant mmmmm.

Mmm well I started to play with it and before I knew it the stock motor was in my hand and 3500kv motor was in the Z-84, it must of been magic.

Why do we need unboxing videos, photos etc? Does sharing the box opening somehow enhance the ownership experience, maybe like having family present at at birth, or is it to replace the traditional build log (some of us can still build, you know) and implant some sense of "achievement" to the assembler?
I eargerly await the day I receive a package that conatains an "unboxing" manual, or even better an instructional DVD.
On with the show, aeromanaic

I just come accross a unexpected hitch, having put in a 50gram 3500kv outrunner now came the time to put the battery in, with a turnigy 2200 3s it needs to be placed all the way forward.

However it is quite thick and most of the hatch would need to cut away, so I have a zippy flight max 2650mah which is thinner, still some hatch needs to be removed but the battery extends back to the carbon spar leaving very little room for esc and rx.

I decided to remove the 50gram motor for the time being and have replaced it with the stock motor from the radjet 800, which 26mm outrunner at 1850kv with 5x5 prop on 3s.

While this will not provide the power level I was looking for, it will however be much better than the stock set up.

Even with te radjet motor it still requires a bigger battery, going to try a zippy compact 2200 3s, if this works duration will be heaps.
