Thanks.
this one mate: http://www.giantshark.co.uk/221206-2...-p-402397.html

plenty of punch on this motor....but dont run it with a graupner 6.5x6.5!! 6x4 seems to be the sweet spot for this motor.

**im starting to wonder if the crash i had before the melted motor mount incident damaged the motor and caused the melt down yesterday. i didnt notice any issues with heat before it and that was with a lot of wot flights. before it melted yesterday i was not even pushing it,i was only cruising around on half throttle.

anyone know if its possible to damage a motor in anyway that is still runs, but causes it to over heat drastically on the next run with moderate use??

surely if heat was an issue from when i put the graupner on,i would of noticed it on the first run,and the mount would of melted on the first run as well? especially as on the first run,and most subsequent runs,i was 3/4 throttle or above for most of it.**

well ive managed to bodge a makeshift motor mount together.took a while but i got there. its all glued back together now and the prop replaced with a 6x4. the motor may very well come flying out as soon as i launch it but there is only one way to find out!

too dark to test it now so will try it tomorrow as long as the wind and rain holds off.....

Finally got around to maidening my Wing Wing Z84 with FPV Gear today. This was the first day of flying it and i have to make a few adjustments but otherwise im pretty happy with it. I'd like to add a simple OSD at some point.

glad to report she flys fine with my home made motor mount. however,on connecting the last battery i was going to use,i had no response from the esc etc. easy fix though as i noticed one of the wires from the esc to the deans for the battery had come off. glad it didn't happen in flight is all i can say about that! could of been messy.

lightweight setup

Being a fan of lightweight setups, has anyone experimented in that direction?

I'm thinking of HXT500 servos, 17 gram motor (HXM2211-1700), and max 3S 1000mah up front, preferably less. Speed is not my goal, rather slow-speed-reduced space (less than half a soccer field) capabilities...

Can the motormount be lightened/replaced with a lighter, nimbler construction?

Advancing servoes before CoG should not be a problem... (or putting them in the body)

Very nice!!!
Are you using goggles, if so which ones?
I'm waiting at least until Fatshark HD ones comes out, but getting into FPV is inevitable for me....

I use the Farshark Dominators but was using a 19" LED monitor during this maiden flight. I Made some improvements recently and hope to fly her tomorrow. Hopefully winds are calm.

Last flight of the Z84 as an FPV platform. It's to small and quite a handful. Moving over the equipment to a popwing.

i would also like to know where you got this. any chance you can post a direct link to the product page please? the link you posted just takes me to a link for fpv gear on hk or back to this thread.

think i would stick a biiig motor on this one and maybe a 4s lipo....should be pretty quick!

the bigger size is a huge bonus. the current WW gets small pretty quick when you open her up with my setup. would like a bigger one that will be easier to see for greater distance.

The stock PNF version is a lightweight 2S (1300mah) setup - you couldn't really get any lighter. Flies very well, though poor vertical performance. Nice to fly and battery lasts forever.
