I installed a Blade 120SR tail motor and rotor on my DF-11 as well as modified the tail for a larger rudder. I'm running a long throw brick since my Vapor brick is on my 380. I'll also run a Thunder Power 240mAh (from my Blade mCPX). Why? Because I need it to get correct CoG. That motor is heavy!

Pics tonight.

Either you are using excessive amounts or yours is old.

I think it is old. Plus the cap has a slit in it. But CA works just fine for me and it's easier to control.

Yep, that's what it's made for (foam). I used it on my EPP stuff but prefer CA on the thinner depron.

Which ones do you have?

My DF-11 was 20 grams and my 380 is 24 grams.

Ok, cool, I was just curious what everyone is weighing in at for theirs. The 380 has more fuse and wing than the DF-11 but it could be a combination of more foam, more glue, different batteries, etc.

Hi all. Bert, I'll happily start a Dynamic Foamy Airliner modification thread if you prefer. For now, here are my new DF-11 pics.

I used a Blade 120SR tail motor and rotor and modified the rudder. The nose has been replaced with foam from the foam "tree" sheet that the model came in. It got a bit crinkled and is again. I also mounted the motor on a piece of CF rod, like a stick mount and sandwiched it between the horizontal stab and vertical stab.

She (hopefully) flies tomorrow! Weight went up by 40% but did the thrust? We'll see!

Before:

20 grams AUW
Hyperion 160mAh battery
Decals
Vapor brick
mCPX tail motor and V2 rotor

Now:

28 grams AUW
Long throw brick
No decals
Modified rudder
TP 240mAh battery
Battery extension/adapter
Blade 120SR tail motor and tail rotor

She flies! It's quite a bit faster, too. It really wants to fold the wings. Wing loading went up quite a bit but I can fix the flexing with some CF rod.

Uploading video now. (I know, finally getting a vid up).
