This is weird. I was just reading that the S022G was not 2.4GHz - now we find out that it is 2.4GHz but now we have no idea what the difference between the S022G and S34 with Gyro is. Even more interesting is S022G is $65 and S34 with Gyro is $50. How confusing!

Hi rexless,

OMG I hadnt seen the S34

Now my brain hurts !

Call me cynical but the original post stinks of "Its now available for sale come buy me"

Until the OP gives us a maiden report i'll see this as a sales pitch which aint a bad thing but they could have been a bit more honest about it unless its against forum rules !

ohh man i checked back into this site at the right time. I had been thinking about that new model they had been promising. I still get flights outta the s022 but after many crashes it tends to vibrate like crazy. Hoping this looks as good as promised. Keep us posted!

I would tend to agree. As much as I really want to pick up one of these to try it out I'm not sure I like the price.

Yeeeeaaaahhh.....

This "AngelaMiller1973" user only has 3 posts. Those pictures don't seem like ones captured by a "casual" RC enthusiast like the rest of us. I'll wait until I see another person who has more of a presence here on these boards AND has a video...

rexless,

I wanted to grab this the minute it became available no matter where in the world I had to order it from (Shenzhen to UK) but with all the conflicting information I think i'll wait until they start turning up on ebay locally so you can see exactly what you're getting, how much and from who and where !

Pa4ul,

Theres a few reasons that can cause this but what happened to mine was a bit of vibration on the rear end causing the rear fuselage and rotor to "wobble" a bit and also underperform, I checked the blades and shafts and all seemed ok so I went for the dreaded 300 screw stripdown LOL

The cause was the tiny head of a fuselage screw had sheared off leaving just the threaded bit in place, the screw in question was an important one, its the one below the rear rotor and engine pod and this screw not only goes through the fuselage but into the clear plastic motor mount inside so where there is 4 screws holding the clear motor mount solidly in place (2 on each side) I now only had 3 making the mount a bit loose and unstable under power in flight.

All the parts are available on ebay but by the time you add them all up plus shipping you're eating into the price of a new bird so I decided to keep it for spares and wait for this elusive gyro version !

Back to the popcorn I guess

Edit: RoboHeli, those pictures are right off the Syma toys website

So in this post, they said that they received the same helicopter as in the photos.

And as pointed out, those photos are just copied from the Syma toys website.

Yeah, seems like an advertisement to me.

I'll wait for someone else to post some meaningful post-purchase information.

I am also confused. I think syma first produce s022g become 2.4g gyro helicopter, but they found the name is too similar with s022(no gyro), and so they want to change the name to s34g, but syma have produced s022g with gyro 2.4g.
