Wow, I just realized how nice hoveringal101's quad is; very fitting of these nice looking legs!

I have been looking at aerodynamic optimizations as my next step in improving the range of my quad, and when it comes to drag these legs are the best option. Wide profile legs can significantly add to the frontal area of a quad, which of course increases drag, slowing the quad down and reducing its overall range. The narrow profile of Brian's legs gives a quad longer range, and less tilting in to the wind during hover.

I see that nobody has posted a picture of the newer thinner design that Brian recently received. I will try and post a pic of a set of these mounted on my quad, including a pic showing how much lighter they are on my scale. Lets just say I'm a weight weenie, and the new design meets my standards.

I came up with a similar but more affordable design using coroplast:

I started with Brian's legs and lost one in a bad crash. So I made those coroplast legs, and didn't like how it flew with all the drag. That clear plastic design looks a lot neater than my coro legs, but the drag looks to be about the same.
