Stefan Baier Cnc-cut some very nice screw connections we added to the mold, which allows us to close the complete wing molds within a minute without using big screw clamps.
The molds fit perfect together with less than 0,5 mm air between and 220 cm of lenght! This shows how accurate the wingplugs have been made!

After removing the parting plate for the fuse mold, we did the second mold half in the same way.

Before doing all the mold-halves we did also the gluing benchs for later fuse building and the mold for the hatch in the bottom of the fuse for receiver and receiver battery which is so far away from the high currents.
All the molds before endpolishing!
As comparison for the wing molds: The fuse on the left size is a ASW 20 fuse for 4,20 m span !

After finishing the molds for the Typhoon we first tried to fit the ingredients into the fuse molds if everything fits like we designed it. In this picture you can see the big YGE 320 HV followed by three 5S SLS 4000 cells and the receiver battery in the end. Everything works perfect!

So time to build the first fuse! The Eagle fuse in comparison to the new Typhoon! A little bit larger ;-)!
Everything fits in perfect!
Batteries have about 0,5 mm room on both sides!

Stefan Baier, a specialist for Cnc-cutting and drilling, did all the nice stator mounts for the motors and the fittings for the fuse (about 25g) and of course all the different yokes with 0°, 1°, 2°. 3° and 4° from high grade aluminium for perfect adjustment of the prop to the motor.
This is a perfect system where you can change the motor by opening only 4 screws within one minute.

The cutout at bottom rear end of the fuse for receiver and receiver battery is closed with a thin hatch with a selfmade carbon NACA inlet for removing the air from the fuse!
The NACA-inlets are also used the bring enough air to the hard working YGE 160 UHV and 320 UHV-controllers. I have molds for 4 different sizes, we use on all our Speed, F5B or F5D models.

NASA environment?
You shouldn´t see see my working place at the moment after the stress of building 4 planes and molds parallel! Looks like a cruise missle has found their way there !
Will take me a lot of time in cleaning up to get back to the state, where you can work without disturbance !

the biggest speeder in our hangar so far is the harpyie.

this photo shows, how big it is:

the fuselage is an abused part of the big typhoon, made by marcus.
the visibility in big hight is great, 600m (the allowed maximum height in germany) is no problem.
