RJ Gritter EPP MX2 Airfoil by Fancyfoam

We have been working on this for a while now and are ready to release it. (It will be on the web site this week).
The EPP Mx2 is based on RJ's awesome depron MX2. This one adds an airfoil to the design to increase outdoor performance. We are also going to push this design with a larger motor rather than the blue wonder sized motor and make it available with either 1.5 or 1.9 lb foam for the fuselage. Tired of your slow, flexible profile foamy, this one will get you excited.
RJ is currently flying his with a Hacker A20-34l motor. We have this available as well as the comparable 36gr motor that I carry. RJ has both and we will get a report as to the performance comparison between the two. If you want to keep it light it still has good performance with the 26gr motor.
Videos will be posted soon.

That's a great looking foamy! Excellent work; I'm sure it will be a winner.

Hey guys, I'm having a lot of fun with this airplane. It's the perfect outdoor calm-wind foamy... it retains a similar feel to the indoor MX2, but with the airfoiled wing and a bit heavier setup it has the right inertial feel for outdoor flying. I'm flying the 1.5lb foam version right now and it still flies light enough for indoor flying as well.

Things I especially like... it doesn't need nearly as much bracing as the depron models to get stiffness in the right places, and is definitely crash tolerant! I've spent a couple flights doing nothing but intentional crashes and haven't broken a thing yet. With the airfoiled wing, it flies and snaps more like a traditional airplane but still flips around like a foamy should. It doesn't even seem to mind a breeze or turbulent air. Cool stuff.

I'll try to get a video up soon, as soon as I can motivate someone to film for me!

Looks good. Will certainly take more abuse than depron.

Have one of these on order. Can't beat the price for the unpainted version.

Nope, no Spades on this airplane. It doesn't need them! Plus, this one is all about durability... and spades are pretty prone to crash damage.

Received my white one today. Gave it a quick, light coat of bright yellow. Will put some black highlights on it tomorrow and go ver it more thoroughly. I got the lighter epp. I think if I were to do it again I would go with the 1.9 density. We'll see though. Also picked up the 25 gram and the 36 gram motor. Probably go with the 25 gram but picked up the 36 just in case.
