personally I don't understand the "over a maximum angle the motors shut off"

I don't like this "feature" at all...

Zero is it possible to have this as an option so we can shut it off?

Steve

I think it actually is quite good safety feature, it's much better motors shut down than multi coming to ground upside down on full power But would be indeed good if it could be turned off. Is that motor shutdown also on full manual mode or only in atti/gps?

Motor shut off in manual, I would say so.

It should be a little smarter though.
If high enough, 60 degrees tilt/roll is still recoverable in my opinion

@Mr_westie thank you very much for your crash report! Appreciate the detail.

I am still waiting on parts - ordered 2 sets of replacement parts (frame and motors)

However, tinkering with the electronics and fine tuning...

1. I am using the Spektrum AR8000; should I set the refresh rate to 250hz instead of 50z and use 11ms on the DX7s Tx?

2. When I assemble this on the new frame, should I repeat the Compass Calibration and turn around like a top again?

Is it also compatible with jr11x with dsm2 receivers? Any software needs to be adjusted?

Mine did that on the weekend.

You may also need to recalibrate the compass at the flying field.
It can make a difference.

You could try this

I used the gimbal today and I'm afraid that it might be to flimsie, I had allot of verital vibration I think the YS-X6 did good job in the wind. Not sure wher to go from here, but I had better quality video with stuff I purchased from GLB with the Rabbit board and $25 gimbal and a cheap hex frame. It's discouraging when that can out do my $2000.00 setup

Can you post images of your setup?
And video if you can.

Further testing on my gimbal is on hold until I get some parts to repair it after the last crash.

I'm loving the YS-X6 so much now. Its rock-steady. People ask me if I think its better than WKM, and I reply "Never used WKM, why would I bother when I get such good results with the YS-X6.

richkphoto, looks like your gains could do with some more adjusting down.
