Thanks dhdsracer for the review. You must be the first to do one. Anyways how different would this be to a Cessna 182 or high wing trainer? Flight features, etc?

It's quite different in flight characteristics. Much less friendly for beginners due to stall and speed. If your looking for a beginner plane I really recommended a pusher like the bixler/Axn/easy star. Take care

Thanks for another great review dhdsracer.

I was sad when they discontinued the Kinetic 800. Loved the fact that it could go fast on 3s and also fly light on 2s. In windy conditions I would go for the 850 3s, but on the nice and sunny days it could fly easily with a 350!

This may replace my Kinetic once it is damaged beyond repair. (but still wish they offered the Kinetic)

they give you both motors too,not sure if hobby king does??

all stickered up and tested ,everything works . the very tip of 1 prop is gone ,shouldnt be an issue eh?


now should i change out this deans to a jst?why they put a deans on this i dont know when near all lipos this size use a jst.

The HobbyKing version only includes the pull motor and the empty dorsal mount.
But wait... does this mean you are going to be the first one to fly this baby with dual motors...?




I am however still waiting to see the first vid in which this airplane "really" slows down without nasty tip stalling, call me cautious after the Kinetic.

haha no ,no dual motors .but just so everyone knows banana hobby version has both motors included . i still need to secure some lipos and i am awaiting a new prop .
this one has a small chip off the end and BH was gracious enough to offer to send me a new one .
great customer support so far .i am pleased .

and its been windy as heck here lately so a maiden might be a bit .

My son and I are ordering Spirit Minis from HK... and we're curious about ordering aluminum spinners:

Can somebody tell me what the shaft diameter is?... and the spinner diameter?

For FPV, I would use a very very light setup.....
.....ie....

and, goggles-comes with VidRx, VidTx and HeadTracking....

The Only concern, I would power the Plane with 3s-1000mah (factory says 3s-850mah).
....and I would power the VidTx on the plane "tapping" the ESC wire.
(One Lipo Setup!)

p.s.
I would like to know the size of that motor in that Pod? I may upgrade motor and prop
if anything fits in that Pod ;-)

Love my spirit with 3S850 glides fine, super sporty fast and aerobatic. Probably wont do pusher setup pull works/looks great. Big elevator, aileron authority, vertical climb, wind not a problem, highly recommend the spirit, enjoy this plane.

no 3s 1000, several 3s850 compact and nano HO both work very well - lotsa power and great weight for glide. 3s 1300 use with HK wing wing are to heavy.
