T-Rex 450 3GX FBL and T8FG, settings anyone?
just bought the Rex second hand and this is my first FBL...
Anyone out there using the same set-up (R617FS receiver) and willing to share his (hers ) channels use and radio settings?
Thanx a billion

I don't have the exact setup, but I do run a couple Align helis with 3GX and Futaba radio. They are pretty similar:
Use HR-3 swash type.
1: AIL, reversed, right front servo
2: ELE, reversed, rear center servo
3: THR, reversed
4: RUD, reversed
5: GYRO normal
6: PIT, normal, left front servo
ps. I was at Zurich this past April, lots of beautiful grass flying fields there! You are lucky to be there.

Thanks a bunch Steph
Will apply all these and enjoy the flying.
As for the area, yes it is still nice, unfortunately getting crowded which means noise sensitive people all around... forget any noisy or turbine powered flying on our field...

Hi again Steph
Applied your settings and it works (though I had to use AIL -39, ELE +39 to get the lateral cyclic in the correct direction).
The only problem left is that when applying collective only the elevator servo moves up, e.g. the aileron and pitch stay level...
Anyone a clue on that?

also thanx to you wlee
And I finally solved the problem, all set and ready to whirl
For reference, it seems there is more than one way to set-up the whole system... finally having all the correct deflections I have the following (fine adjustments will be done later):
1 AIL REV
2 ELE NORM
3 THR REV
4 RUD REV
5 GYRO NORM
6 PIT NORM
Channel 1 Red
Channel 2 Amber
Channel 3 Purple
Channel 4 Green
Channel 5 Blue
Channel 6 Yellow
Channel 7 tri Black/Red/White

Dee, good you got it. do you go through 3gx setup procedure as stated in manual. Are you still get cyclic pitch +/- 9 deg and collective pitch +/- 12 deg. keep us post your maiden flight.
I am glad and learn new things everyday. I should try this setup on my Dx8 /w swash mix ON and test..........

yeah, though this one has already flown and been set-up, it was another brand of radio (...), so I will redo the 3GX set-up. And I still have to program the curves.
Actually what had happened is that I copied my sold Flasher 450 for the "new" bird, and that was not a good idea. Better would have been to start from fresh
As for the "maiden", it is set for in about 2 weeks as I'm going abroad (no, no vacations yet)
