Elapor foam filler

I have a 2" x 1/4" gash in the wing of my easy star. It begins in the leading edge and continues toward the trailing edge. I have tried boiling water and the heat gun and am unable to close it up.
Is there a filler that someone may recommend that could be sanded?

Light weight spackle from home depo works great. Hobby shops sell the same thing with a different name at 3x the cost.

Thanks lammergier. I was able to nearly close up the gap with more hot water and the spackle or epoxy will do the rest.
Thanks
