So how do you store yours?

I had an idea before that perhaps I could store models more effectively standing on their nose with timber dowls coming out from the wall, like a wing rack but horizontal. That way the trailer is empty and I only take what I am flying..... Wings could be the same. Thoughts ideas, how do you store your's?

I store fuz's veritcally as you say and wings on 'shelves' coming out of the wall.

Currently about to embark on a box building mission so that I can more easily get the bigger models to the slope and put the together there, rather than risking airframe and my back traipsing the awkward lumps there...

Cheers, Elliot.

I'll PM you a photo, too embarrassed of the state of my workshop...

You're probably the only guy on RCG with a messy shop.

Rossco,
Here's my take on vertical storage. The prop rests against the uprights keeping everything on the up & up. Simple mods for a dedicated wall unit for sailplanes. I store wherever there's room as you can see.

Check out the bottom of page 10-- "Slingsby T12 Gull build" in RCG

I know it takes a lot of room for the boxes but I just happened to have a spot in my basement that is ideal. I'm now out of room as I have 16 boxes in the space and I don't know what I'll do with the 17th for the Grunau 1 and it's the largest.

The handle openings are all covered on the inside so that no dust or crap gets in.
I can open the box 3 years later and everything is always in good shape, and as I said. When I go to an event, I can't forget anything because all the parts for the glider are in the box.

Guys thankyou so much for taking the time to reply, I'll post some pics when I'm done.
I have a couple of 5 meter skips coming into my place shortly, 1 for all the building rubble as we are extending and one for the shed as noted it NEEDS a clean out...... So who would like to help ?
