FlyFly 90mm BAE Hawk w/ CS12 90mm fan

Not much to say on this, but just wanted to share a couple photos as I built this plane. This was a easy and fun build. If anyone has any questions, just ask.

Here are some more pics of this plane in flight. I've got 6 flights on it now in two days. It flys amazingly!

Hello Sky..

I'm Nortrop from Italy. Just some opinions about, building, foam qualities and CS 12. I just bought one HTG Hawk and really negative impressed by the different material from the others i've got( MB 339 and L-39) These lasts was mauch better than HAWK. In any case, I'm sure it will give big satisfations...for all the rest.

My setup will be:

CS 12
Het 600-42 1400 KV
Superbrain 100 REG
8S 4000 40C Lipo

I'm not sure about retractable landings, in case wich one???(suggestion)

Let me even know, if you can, the RTF Heavy
Any other suggetion will be appreciate
Tk bye

Hi Nortrop, if you aren't familiar with HTG (FlyFly) older stuff, then yes, the foam (EPS foam) on the Hawk will leave you feeling a little unimpressed. The FlyFly F-86 was of the same foam, so expect to feel the same with it. As for the MB339 and L-39, yes, those are very nice planes. They are made of a different foam. EPO to be exact.

The retracts I'm using are these... I'm also using the nose strut. But I ditched the Mains as they are to short. I then order some new Main struts (next link below)

You have to order two Main Struts though. Only 1 comes with each order.

I then use the same wheels that came with Retracts above.

Tk for your replay,

yes! The EPS it' s the worst surprise at all. My heavy hands will not appreciate the building time.
Anyway, I just end my HTG L-39(picture) and will start building HAWK when temperatures will go down. Here too hot now for EDF.
Do you know a good link for building log?

Sure thing. I'm using a CS12 Blade 90mm fan, CC ICE 100A ESC, HK3025-1500kv motor, and a 6s5000mAh lipo.
