Got the G10 rudders built and also found a close to scale V8 motor that fits perfectly on the mount. Need to fabricate the fuel injection cover, plug wires, headers and exhaust. Should be ready for a test run soon..

CaptDH Using a E-flite 32 on a Fullsize Alligator tours and it has beena marathon of Prop testing. The neighbors on the Lake say it's prop noise is too loud. Finally got a "Icon" parkflyer prop, 9-7 3 blade with a different shape. Works good and reduced the noise. Noticed the full size ones have a broad root and narrow tips, this prop comes pretty close to that design.

Lee,

I have that prop too but it is much too big for this scale build. 6" is the max dia. for the cage. I have heard that the master airscrew 3 blade is much quieter than my 6-4 APC. Only 1 way to find out...

That's him. It is a bit of a running joke on this thread. I'm thinking you will see a few more cameo's before the boat is finished.

Darrin - you probably already know about them, but check out these guys; http://www.detailmaster.com/ for great scale braided hoses and compression fittings, etc...

Where did you get the scale V8? I'm looking for one in 1:12 scale.

Believe it or not, It is a Ridemakerz toy motor that you get from Toys r Us. They have 3 different types and are pretty close to scale....Not bad for $5.

Here are a couple clear shots of the motor. Need to fab the K&N air filter and the rest of the exhaust. You can also see the G10 rudders. Have hardware coming to link them together. Outrunner looks like the real boats prop reduction.
