I would like 1.5mm, it adds more weight but with the motors i will use it will be fine.

Yes..
I have to change the motor mount a bit to accomodate the motor for "jsflyrv" setup.
Then i will cut it and look if everything is right..

Hi,

There is a quick-and-dirty pictures of my "in progress" APM2 Quad with the DJI-SpyderQuad frame.

Major difficulty encountered was for mounting the APM2.

APM2 use a rectangle form factor, so mounting holes was front of the holes cutted in the frame's bottom plate.

I had to cut a loarger copper board that fit 4.5x4.5 square holes.
Then i used the APM2 case to fix it on double sided glue foam.
This results in a no space left after using vertical 3pin headers between the two plates, but it fits !

I actually added a pitch-only gimbal in the front of the frame, instead of using backplate to do gopro mounting that is not on the pictures.

I'll be back here after some PID tuning to post a video of the quad

Nice..
You didn't have the space up front under the top plate to put the APM2 ?

Looking forward to see the Pan gimbal.
I will make one for sure.. if only i could buy some time on eBay...

Here is a modification i have done for the RoundBoom version.
If it work good i might transfer the change to that as well
