I am using them in this aircraft with SkyLipo 3s 40c 1600 mah batts with an ExceedRC 40a opto w/exceedRc ubec and a Suppo 2814 motor. Merely had to slide the batt back against the wing to achieve balance. Great flying bird. Btw I use these connectors in all my aircraft including smaller 800mm birds.
There is no way to plug them in backwards but... if you are not paying attention when setting up your parallel charge you can plug battery into battery and it will be backwards and short. Also from everything I've heard HobbyKing wires them one way and HobbyPartz does it the other way. So if you buy batteries from both they will be in trouble.

Well it is true that red must go with red and black with black, kinda like up stick should result in up elevator... The Turnigy batts I've bought from HK had XT60s as did the Watt meter. Cut em off and put on bullets. Everything has its pluses and minuses, I on one hand don't like the space needed for the bullets but on the other it's also what makes them easier to connect and disconnect without pulling a wire, plus the absolute positive connection. Just personal preference, I've seen the gamut with just the few guys/gals at the field, xt60s, deans, power poles (big as well), and others.?

I just bought one of these bad boys. What a riot. I tried to do a review on this plane on 3DHS, but it wouldnt allow me to complete it. Anyways, I just put all of the electronics out of my cheap Techone and this plane kicks butt. I am going to invest in good electronics now that I know its a solid rig. Nice job 3DHS!

Still haven't gotten to fly mine. It sits in the room, staring at me...sometimes I swear I hear it mocking me: "You can't fly me, you'll never get to fly me! Ha ha ha!!!"...but then I realize that it's just my wife hiding behind the table...

Which Techone plane did the transplant come from? What motor did it have?
Just curious on the "cheap" electronics that made it kick butt

Haven't used those ones. I have a bunch of http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=357 and they are great. Shows out of stock at the moment but keep en eye out for them. I love the glaciers. Good prices too. The 1300s are good size and weight for this plane.

Here is the battery I intend to use.
It's the biggest that fits. Perfect thickness to slide under the wing.
So as long as the width and thickness & length don't exceed these specs you're good to go.
The Elite series are light too, the 1800 is only 140gr not the listed weight of 145gr
