GWS ME 262 fans??

I was given two GWS 262 foam kits. i would never done a GWS kit but since free why not. I would like to run two Change Sun 70mm 12 blade fans on a low power set up. the main reason it to keep it quite.

Questions. it will tak a bunch of work to make them fit.
has anyone put 70mm in these? stock is 64mm
Does CS make a 10-12 blade 64mm fan?
Where to buy these fans?

I think the 70mm would give me what i am looking for. thrust and no to little noise on low power (scale) I think i would only need around 20-28 ounces of thrust out of each engine for great performance. they wouldnt be high RPM so i think the stock housing would work great in a 400 watt set up? Thoughts everyone?

Haoye makes a 7 blade 64mm fan that's REALLY nice at lower RPM settings...the haoye fan take more time to balance but can give some nice power...I think there are a couple of 3mm shaft outrunners on HK that will run with the fan..they're in the EDF motor section.

The 64mm fan is under EDF System & Parts under hardware

They have slightly more tip whine but we're not talking about a factor of 2...

Here's the 7 blade 90mm in an F18

Using CS10s on the GWS ME-262 is going to lead to a much heavier plane. Consider that the GWS 64 EDFs are very light - possibly as light as 85-90g per EDF with motor. CS10s weigh around 70g in themselves, with a light motor you are looking at 150g each. Larger motors, ESCs and batteries. End result will be a model that will weight many 100 grams more than what it should with a light 64mm setup.

If anything you would probably want to drop a size - down to 55mm EDFs.

well i was trying to not have the high motor and fan noise like the small ones do. i was going to run a shorter can motor with lower kv and 3 cell pack. keep rpm down and amp draw to around 25-30 amps per motor. i have two of these kits so i can try it one way and then another on the second one.
