I don't really see the point in putting the accs and gyro in the transmitter - you can do all that with a phone with the advantage that it fits in your pocket!

I believe you will be able to use the accelerometer for example to be the trigger for voice notification. When you tilt the TX you could be notified of battery voltage or whatever you choose to setup.

Interesting possibilities.

Interesting indeed - but £200+ worth of interest? Not sure about that!

How about using the accelleromters for fine tuning (in flight adjusting) mixes. Tilt left for less and tilt right for more, without taking your fingers off of the controls.

Tomorrow we would like to start fixing and pre-packing all orders.

It seems like soap opera. We have never dealt with such a detailed people. Every number, coma, space or letter has to be accounted for. Fortunately after this; next batch of R18/14/5 and new DS-16 will be just the breeze.

As of 5:30PM of EST the DC-16 radio is FCC and IC Canada Authorized.

This information is 30 minutes old.
There might not be anything on FCC web site yet.

As of 5:30PM of EST the Jeti Duplex DC-16 radio is FCC and IC Canada Authorized. After spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars we finally can say that we are in the Jeti business.

As we promised, all orders will be processed and shipped early next week.

Esprit, that's GREAT news!

With any luck in regards to the shipping times, next weekend I can look forward to installing the HC3SX units I just received from you today and the DC-16 I'll hopefully be receiving near the end of next week!

Congradulations, thank you for making it happen. When would you expect the the DS-16 to be shipped for those who have made the down payment on one?

Thanks -- Howard

I was under the impression that the final design was just completed (antenna location) and that the DS-16 had to be then manufactured for shipment in late Dec or early January.

Without a doubt, the DC-16 is the finest radio now on the market from a quality of construction and programming perspective IMHO. There's virtually no plastic anywhere. The quality of machining, the precision of the stick assemblies, the size of the display is truly outstanding.

And the ease, simplicity, flexibility power and elegance of the programming is second to none. A number of TXs claim to have completely open programming. Having spent much time with the top of the line Futaba and Graupner sets, nothing holds a candle to the DC-16. When they say every stick, switch and knob can be easily assigned to do anything, they ain't kidding.

OK, there are a few goofy small software bobos that should be corrected, but they're so easy to work around that even I quickly figured it out and I don't have a much of a head for tech stuff.

Congrats Zb, you now have the very best on the market!

Regards,

Steve
