I have been using my eLogger v4 for a few weeks now to record Voltage, Watts, RPM and Amps on my Electric aircraft. I would like to add the ability to log Altitude as well. In the effort to save space and weight I would like to get the GPS module as it allows for a few more readings rather than just altitude.I was just wondering how the standalone unit and the GPS unit differ in terms of accuracy.

Does anyone have any experience with either or better yet both?

Yes, I do. I and two of my friends I fly with use the latest version, which is much more accurate than the previous one. We do allot of formation flying and while in formation compare altimeter readings and they are very accurate. Within a couple feet I would say. The GPS altimeter is not. It's just there for a general reference as it will lag behind your actual altitude.
